Happy Wednesday! Lucky me I’m past the half way point on my week – we’re taking Friday off to head to Minnesota a bit earlier. I’m very excited to try our new tent and to float down the river with some beverages! To change things up a bit, I’ve decided to try my hand at a WIAW [what I ate Wednesday] this week. I’ve read several on other peoples blogs and I liked the challenge of actually photographing everything I ate in one day – I still need some work in this department, but that’s ok, I need to start somewhere. Hope you enjoy!
Breakfast: 630am – Piece of toast with Sunbutter, a few cherries and strawberries|Not feelin’ so hot this morning, the cold I was trying to avoid was trying to catch up with me. Despite feeling a little under the weather, I ALWAYS eat breakfast in the morning.
Snack: 1030am Oikos 2% MF Greek Yogurt Cup | Because you NEED some milk fat, or else it tastes like water, am I right?!
Lunch #1: 1200pm Grilled Zucchini and the tiniest piece of steak you ever did see | I was supposed to eat lunch with a friend at 1pm, but I didn’t make it that far, I need to eat every 2 hours apparently. We also didn’t really cook last night, so my lunch is a mish-mash of (delicious) leftovers!
Lunch #2: 115pm – [Not pictured] Quinoa salad from Costco and some baby carrots and sliced cucumbers + some poutine off Kayla’s plate (sorry, not sorry)| We ate out side. It was smokin’ hot.
Impromptu Dessert: 145pm – Ice cream sandwich with Monster Cookies from Degrees! | Because celebratory ice cream sandwiches are what makes life fun.
After School Snack: 430pm – [Not pictured] Homemade Banana-Walnut Muffin| I was pretty hungry when I came home but I managed to only eat a muffin while I waited for A to get home.
Dinner: 545pm – Onion and Zucchini Fritatta with toast and Sunbutter| Early dinner tonight because of our ultimate game. I totally didn’t finish most of one of the pieces of fritatta, but I did when I got home from the game!
Evening snack : 700-800pm – [Not pictured] Couple handfuls of Dill Pickle flavoured Spitz during the game | They kept me occupied during shift changes and when I got home I found I wasn’t as hungry as when I ate nothing during games.
I hope you enjoyed my first WIAW, this was a pretty average day for me, I’m glad it worked out that way! Now it’s your turn: What was your favourite thing you ate today?
