It’s no surprise that I’m always trying to eat more flax.
Flax will always hold a special place in my heart (and stomach). Not only was my Master’s project 50% dedicated to the stuff, but it’s a Canadian crop, AND its flowers are a gorgeous shade of blue if you happen to be lucky enough to drive by a field in bloom. On top of that, flax is actually really good for you. Did you know in Canada there’s a protected health claim that ground whole flaxseed can lower blood cholesterol?
Flax is full of fibre, alpha-linolenic acid (ALA aka Omega-3s), and many other micronutrients.
Ok, fine. I’m done swooning over the stuff (for now). Instead, I’ll share a few ways you can eat more flax with the help of some fellow blogger friends.
